As part of Measure 16 “Cooperation”, an event was held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the facilities of the ASSOS Agricultural Cooperative, to present the results of the operational plan titled:
“Assessment of Irrigation Needs Using Precision Agriculture Methods in Kiwi Cultivation.”
Representing the GIS Research Unit of the Agricultural University of Athens, Professor Dionysios Kalyvas and Assistant Professor Konstantinos Soulis participated in the event.
Professor Dionysios Kalyvas was interviewed on the program “Agricultural Diary” with Grigoris Timosidis and Nikos Spitseris, aired on Center TV.
During the interview, Prof. Kalyvas emphasized:
The importance of using technological tools to monitor the real irrigation needs of crops,
the critical role of scientific teams in supporting farmers through data and expertise and
the need to educate agronomists and producers so they can effectively utilize digital tools for sustainable agricultural practices.
