On Friday, December 12, 2025, Professor Dionysios Kalyvas, on behalf of the GIS Research Unit of the Agricultural University of Athens, presented in his speech at the Ordinary General Assembly of the Agri-Food Partnership of Central Greece, the modern geospatial technologies applied to precision agriculture.
His speech, which took place at the Orchomenos “Evangelos Basiakos” Conference Center, and was also broadcast online, included examples of real applications, as well as geospatial and digital platforms developed by the GIS Research Unit.
The mayor of Orchomenos, Giorgos Tzavaras, was also present at the meeting.
