The GIS Research Unit of the Agricultural University of Athens has developed educational material on smart agriculture and is starting the training of farmers from the Region of Central Greece.

Next stop: Istiaia, July 6, 2025, at the Taxiarchis Agricultural Cooperative, 11 a.m.

An event will be held to present the platform (developed within the framework of the program and containing practical knowledge on spatially-defined digital technologies in agriculture) and to facilitate an exchange of views with farmers and experts, in collaboration with the Agri-food Partnership of Central Greece.

The event program includes:

Presentation: “Digital Agriculture and Precision Farming – Modern Trends”

Presentation of the AgriLearn program and its educational platform

Open discussion and Q&A with participants

Demonstration of geospatial technologies in the field: drones, sensors, GIS and remote sensing applications in precision farming

Through our activities, we approach agriculture with a modern perspective, supporting producers in integrating innovation, knowledge, and sustainability into their daily practices.
