The 1st Panhellenic Conference of Agricultural Advisors took place in Larissa on March 8, 2025, as part of AgroThessaly 2025. Professor Dionysios Kalyvas from the GIS Research Unit of the Agricultural University of Athens presented the scientific framework of modern digital agricultural management tools and their crucial role in ensuring the sustainability of the rural sector.
Following his presentation, six companies showcased the digital platforms they have developed to support precision agriculture. The session concluded with a highly productive discussion, emphasizing the importance of smart farming, geospatial digital technologies, and spatial decision support systems in shaping the future of agricultural production. These technologies will play a key role in strengthening the role of agricultural advisors by providing sustainable and efficient solutions to farmers.
