How accurate are global soil maps? Our latest study compares the ISRIC and ESDAC global soil datasets with Greece’s detailed national soil map — and the results may surprise you!

Accuracy was found to be only 19–21%, with significant discrepancies in areas with unique geological characteristics. This has important implications for agriculture, climate studies, and land management.
