Attendance of Advanced Training on the Daisy Model

An advanced training session was held at the University of Bayreuth in Germany, attended by Katerina Katsogiannou, a member of the GIS Research Team, with the aim of participating in a specialized seminar focused on the  Daisy (About Daisy  University of Copenhagen) model. The seminar lasted for one week and aimed at familiarizing participants with the Daisy model, in order to enhance its application in the projects of the GIS Research Team. Daisy is an advanced soil-plant-atmosphere system model designed to simulate water balance, heat balance, solute balance, and crop production in agro-ecosystems subject to various management strategies. The first international presentation of Daisy took place at a workshop in the Netherlands in 1990.
